DIY Decoupage a box for Christmas Wrap Idea

You can watch the video here:

Need Christmas Gift Wrap Ideas? I have one here for you. Don’t you have a gift for someone that you really want to make even more special? Whether you are presenting pictures of your new baby -yes, even your newest fur baby…or you’re giving someone a scarf that you knit. (or like me do you prefer to crochet?) And how about this? You can upcycle or repurpose a box! I used a Godiva box to complete this, and paper towels. Yup, I dipped them in coffee and decoupaged them over the box. I added some lovely lace when I was done and a  faux branch of pine that had glitter and a pine cone over it. Of course there are so many types of Christmas picks that you could use. I love to spark ideas in others! Thank you for subscribing to my youtube channel. On the bottom right side of this video you’ll see a scissor icon. If you click on that you will be subscribed…It allows me to make more videos for you. Below you will see a list of the items you’ll need to complete this project, and the links to purchase them right next to it. I do want to mention that I purchased an angel for my tree top that you’ll see in the end of the video, I have to provide that link since I know someone will ask me.. My web site goes through Amazon so if you have Amazon Prime you will qualify for all of the free shipping. When you shop through my site they will still ask you to sign in which will identify you as a Prime member. Have fun!  You can also have a look at this video by a friend of mine on youtube:

Pitt Big Brush (12 pc) Set

I love these pens/markers. Even though they are permanent-they can be used for blending-as long as you blend right away. They take a few seconds longer than other markers to dry. If you are going to use these for stamping purposes, it is recommended that you “huff” on the stamp to keep the ink from drying out before stamping.

DIY Wreath Making White on White Lace Glitter & Decoupage

screen-shot-2016-12-07-at-5-37-11-pmscreen-shot-2016-12-07-at-5-38-34-pmIt takes me about 3 to 4 days to complete my youtube video’s. How is it that I could not find the sun in any of those 4 days? This White on White Winter themed Christmas wreath looks like it was hit with a glitter bomb. Maybe because I kind of did hit it with a glitter bomb. I was hoping to show you the end result by hanging this on one of our pine trees in the yard. I could picture it now, Sun breaking through the clouds, the blue green pine tree in the background as the brilliant pieces of glitter resembled freshly fallen snow on the lace and the French Horn in I used in the background. I even purchased a special light to show all of it-but it still doesn’t quite do it justice. You can still see though, that this festive Christmas Winter themed Wreath might be something that you would like to do. I’ll proved the links below for you to make some purchases-but I wanted to mention that this is the perfect time to try Amazon Prime. It’s free until after Christmas. You could be getting free shipping for everything you buy! That’s how I started with Prime, but once I realized that most of my craft supplies were already cheaper on Amazon than the prices I was paying in the craft stores….I knew I had to have that free shipping. The 2 day arrival time has me spoiled too.  Have a look at it:

Don’t forget, you can buy everything you need and not just the items I am showing you. Here are the items you’ll need for this week’s project.

How To make a Terra Cotta Planter Christmas Centerpiece w decoupage

img_3570Do you have a Terra Cotta Planter lying around?  I have a link to one right here if you need one.   But let’s add some pretty Holly Berry napkins to it, along with some lovely Martha Stewart Multi Surface Paint and coarse Glitter. I have a suggestion though, you would want to take your Christmas themed napkin  screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-6-19-09-pmlike this one with holly and berries on it, or you may prefer a more Victorian themed napkin like this one

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-6-21-46-pmand let’s decoupage it over our painted planter. Even though I would love to sell you the large picks that go on the inside of this planter, I would like to suggest that you take the napkin of your choice over to any craft store right about now (Today is December 1st!) where there are all kinds of sales on Christmas items…and select some large Christmas picks that will fit into your planter and match or compliment your napkin. Below, you will find the links to the other products you’ll need and they all go through Amazon. If you have Amazon Prime, the shipping is free! If you don’t have Prime, you can try it for FREE here  . This is how I started with Amazon Prime. I knew I would be ordering a whole lot of ‘stuff’ on Amazon for Christmas. So I decide to try Prime for free. I was shocked that not only did I get free shipping, but I was getting all of my purchases in TWO DAYS!  That’s impressive. I had days where I ran out of dog food. Cooked extra food at our meals, to feed the dogs but knew I could order and GET my dog food within 2 days. That’s just one example. I also learned of functions we had to attend where I wanted to bring something but I didn’t have time to run to the store. Enter Amazon Prime. Since I  work from home it’s really convenient for me to order my art supplies on Amazon. They already beat the prices in the stores even with the 40 percent off coupons-in most cases. Enough about Prime you say? OK,

I would like to invite you to head on over to Youtube to watch over 200 video’s of mine! Well maybe I should say you may want to peruse my channel to see if there’s anything else you would be interested in decoupaging. I especially like to decoupage furniture and I have about a half a dozen how to video’s on that. I also have a Facebook page called Upcycle with Decoupage. If you go over and like and follow the page, you will be notified on your facebook page every week when I put a new video out.  By the way, if you would like different napkins from the one’s I have listed here, just click on the link and enter what you are looking for into the search. You may want to search your favorite holiday items. Santa Napkins, Victorian Christmas napkins, Candy Cane napkins, you name it-you can probably find it. If you’re not sure what you would like, do a search for Punch Studio napkins, Michelle Design napkins, or simply Christmas or Holiday napkins.

Have fun with this project, I know I did!
